Permanent & definitive hair removal: Sustainable depilation – Laser hair removal or pulsed light ?

Permanent hair removal with pulsed light

Progressive and sustainable hair removal with pulsed light is used to remove hair constantly.

The BIOZEN beauty salon for men and women proposes a long-lasting depilation using pulsed light, and selects STELLA an innovative and high-end technology. (See the video above).

ADVANTAGES OF STELLA HIGH-TECH INNOVATIVE TECHNOLOGY compared to conventional devices:

  • Less painful, gentler.
  • Shorter session than with a conventional device because STELLA is a high-end technology: 1 flash / second (see video).
  • Optimal results from the first sessions.

How does pulsed light work?

The pulsed light is realized with a “flash lamp” that produces intense pulsed light (IPL). This pulsed light reduces 80 to 90% of the hair by destroying melanin, pigment of the hair. (See video).

Depilation with pulsed light, and laser hair removal: Why we cannot use the term “permanent hair removal”?

Because about 80 to 90% of the hairs are eliminated. Some hairs are eliminated, and other hairs can grow back. So it is advisable to maintain your hair removal approximately every 4 to 5 years by some maintenance sessions.

Contraindications:

  • Matt skin, mixed or black
  • Tanned skin (natural or artificial: no self-tanning)
  • The sun and taking photosensitive drugs: bronze capsules, antibiotics, anticoagulants antidepressants
  • Diabetes, epilepsy, blood disease
  • Immunodepressed patient
  • Heart or Infectious disease
  • Pregnancy and breast feeding

Preparation before the appointment:

The area to be treated must be shaved a few hours before the session or shaving will be charged 10€ per zone.

In order to obtain lasting results, 6 to 8 sessions, spaced from 4 to 6 weeks, depending on the zones and the hairiness.

A diagnosis will be included in your first session.

Hair removal with pulsed light and laser hair removal: Should we use the terms “permanent hair removal” or “sustainable depilation”?

For depilation with pulsed light, the term to be used in the field of aesthetics is “sustainable depilation”.

The vocabulary to be avoided is “permanent hair removal”, also for laser hair removal which is reserved for medical use only.

What is the difference between laser hair removal and pulsed light depilation?

Depilation with pulsed light is used most often in the field of aesthetics and uses a “flash lamp”. Laser depilation uses a laser and is reserved exclusively for medical use. Depilation with pulsed light is not suitable for matt and black skin, and is weaker in intensity than the laser. As of the advantage of pulsed light depilation compared to laser hair removal, pulsed light depilation is less painful, faster in time saving, and cheaper.

The technique deferred, the result is comparable or about 80 to 90% of the hairs are eliminated.

Everyone is different. Results may vary from person to person.
